I'm excited to announce the dates of the next Illuminate Retreat in South Korea.

Date: October 14-18, 2027

Location: Pilbong Cultural Village, North Jeolla Province, South Korea

We will be staying at a beautiful Hanok (traditional Korean house) complex and offer an all-night shamanic ceremony beneath the full moon.

Two distinguished masters of traditional Korean music will accompany us during the ceremony.

Professor Kim Dong-Won and Pansori Singer, Bae Il-Dong.

Pansori is a traditional Korean musical storytelling art form. It features a single vocalist (sorikkun) who sings and narrates a lengthy epic story, accompanied only by a single drummer (gosu). Often referred to as "Korean folk opera", it is a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage that blends expressive singing, dramatic gestures, and rhythmic drumming.

The retreat will provide cultural experiences of healthy regional cuisine of Jeolla Province as well as nature excursions.
